Where to Find Floppy Disks and Shockwave Grenades in Fortnite Season 6 (Week 10 Legendary Quest)

The Legendary Weeklong Quest for Week 10 of Fortnite Season 6 tasks players with finding and using Shockwave Grenades and Hop Floppy Disks.

As players approach the end of Fortnite Season 6, they’ll likely be looking for ways to increase their Seasonal XP, and Legendary Quests may be a potential fix. Epic and Legendary Quests in Fortnite are added weekly, but Epic Quests can be completed at any time of the season. Legendary quests have a time limit of exactly one week. Fortnite Legendary quests consist of a single activity that players must complete in five stages, called levels, with each stage usually increasing in difficulty or quantity. Legendary quests reward big chunks of XP every time players level up: 35,000 XP for completing the first level and 24,500 XP for each of the other four levels. In week 10 of Fortnite Season 6, players can complete a Legendary Quest to get approximately 8 minutes of flying time using two jump modification loot items.

The Week 10 Legendary Quest requires players to get 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 seconds in the air using Hop Floppy Disks and Shockwave Grenades. Hop Floppers are a kind of fish that can be found in most biomes around the Fortnite menu. When consumed, they lessen the effects of gravity, allowing players to jump higher and stay aloft for longer. Shockwave grenades are a type of weapon that can detonate players over long distances, even through structures, without causing damage. Players will need to find enough of these items to spend a total of eight minutes in the air. Completing all five levels of the quest rewards players 133,000 XP for their Season 6 Battle Pass. Here’s where to go to find Hop Floppy Disks and Shockwave Grenades to complete the Week 10 Legendary Quest in Fortnite Season 6.

Fortnite Fishing Pier

Complete the Week 10 Legendary Quest on Fortnite Season 6 will probably be the easiest when using Hop Floppers. There is a variant of a Hop Flopper in almost every biome around the Fortnite menu. They can usually be caught with any regular fishing rod or harpoon gun. The variants and their associated biomes appear below:

  • Drifting jump flop: Any fishing spot
  • Flop Coho Hop: Forest biomes
  • Atlantic flop: Mountain biomes (requires professional fishing rod)
  • Chinhook Hop Flop: Swamp biomes
  • Chum Hop Flopper: Coastal biomes

Players will need to pick up a fishing rod before they can start spinning in Hop Floppers. These can be found in barrels near fishing spots or as loot around the map.

To use a Hop Flopper, players will simply need to consume it. This gives players a low gravity effect for a minute, which they can use to jump and float in the air. To get the maximum flying time for each Hop Flopper captured, players can consider building a structure on a high location and jumping from that height.

Shockwave Grenades are a little harder to find Fortnite Season 6, which makes it a less reliable way to quickly complete the Legendary Quest. Shock wave grenades, like most grenades Fortnite, are a kind of booty. Players can typically find and pick up Shockwave Grenades as loot from the ground, chests, Supply Drops, and certain Supply Llamas. They always come in sets of two.

To use a Shockwave Grenade, players will need to throw it toward the ground near their feet. Shockwave Grenades do not deal damage or fall damage, but anyone caught in the blast radius will be knocked into the air. As with Hop Floppers, players can maximize the effect of each Shockwave Grenade by detonating it above a tall structure or topographic high point on the map.

As you work to complete the Week 10 Legendary Quest in Fortnite Season 6, players should consider using Team Rumble mode. Team Rumble makes fishing easy for players without interruption and provides them with enough materials to build structures immediately. It also ensures that they can respawn multiple times if they are eliminated while working on the challenge.
