Fortnite‘s competitive scene continues to grow each season. Arena mode continues to grow in importance, with tons of players playing it all the time. It’s even extended to more casual areas, as featured mugs are available for everyone.

In this regard, the Chica Cup is a form of competitive play, although many of the players who participated in it probably had very little competitive experience. Now there is a new tournament which will probably have quite a large audience.

Fortnite Dreamhack 2022 is starting soon and players will need to know when and how to get involved. Here is the full guide.

Fortnite Dreamhack 2022: A complete guide to the latest tournament

Several times in the past, Fortnite and the Dreamhack Open have held tournaments with huge cash prizes. This year should be no different. The tournament will take place from June 18 to June 20 in Elmia, Jönköping, Sweden.

The only downside is that it’s local. What players will need, according to Dreamhack, to participate is just a LAN (Local Area Network) ticket. Anyone unable to travel to Sweden will not be able to participate.

It’s quite unfortunate because Fortnite Dreamhack 2022 has a huge prize pool. This year there is 200,000 USD (or 2028680.00 Swedish Krona) up for grabs. This is split into two separate tournaments: Battle Royale and Zero Build.

Many competitive players might not be too happy with the inclusion of a Zero Build Tournament in Fortnite, but nonetheless, both mods are featured. Interestingly, both have a cash prize of US$100,000 which will likely go to the top players in each tournament.

In terms of registration, players only need to purchase a LAN ticket. All types of tickets are available on this site. There are three different types:

• Ordinary
• Prime
• 20+ Bonus

There is also a pass for people who want to come to the tournament but don’t want to play. Here is what Fortnite Dreamhack 2022 has to say about it:

“Want to attend the festival but don’t want to join the BYOC party? With this type of ticket, you will have access to all other activities such as free games, art zones, concerts on the main stage, the esports tournaments, the expo and Suite!”

Both tournaments will be in single player mode, so there will be no team for this particular contest. Also, there is no entry cap as Fortnite Dreamhack 2022 has been hoping to be one of the biggest tournaments for a while.
