Ranked from best to worst
One of the most exciting aspects of Fortnite is the sheer amount of skins players can drop off with on the island.
There are so many skins that you can easily play multiple battle royale games without stumbling across the same one. Fortnite has its fair share of premium and free skins.
Not everyone can afford the packs or skin sets that are arriving in the Fortnite Item Shop. Some players are looking for opportunities to get free skins. Fortunately, the game has had some really good ones.
From best to worst: free skins in Fortnite
1) Lieutenant Evergreen
Lieutenant Evergreen was a skin earned in the Winterfest 2019 event. All you had to do was go to the Winterfest hut and shake the tree. Then you received this Christmas tree with a Jonesy skin. It truly is one of the best free skin options ever released in Fortnite.
2) Galaxy Skin
The Galaxy Skin is free in the sense that you don’t have to buy it from Fortnite. It was offered to people who bought the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It is definitely one of the coolest skins in Fortnite and cost players nothing if they owned any of the aforementioned devices.
The Trailblazer skin was a Twitch Prime reward in Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 1. Twitch Prime, now Prime Gaming, allows users to have this skin for free. Ramirez has always been a popular role model in Battle Royale and maybe that’s what sparked it.
There are a handful of default skins that Fortnite players can load onto the Battle Bus. They aren’t the flashiest, but they’ve garnered a bit of worship. Some players regularly use the default skin setting just because they want to. Others like it because they don’t need to buy anything.
The Sub-Commander isn’t a good skin at all, but it was free so you can’t really hit it. This is another Twitch Prime reward, now Prime Gaming, that was available in Chapter 1 of Fortnite Season 3. While it’s rarely seen, it’s a cool concept to add Twitch’s purple colors to the skin.
