Popular Fortnite x2Twins duo banned on Twitch

Jesse and Jordan Eckley, popular Australia-based Fortnite content creators known as “x2Twins”, have been banned from Twitch for reasons not yet known.
X2Twins have made a name for themselves on YouTube via Fortnite, regularly posting a mix of serious and humorous content. Their popularity and natural charisma towards each other has enabled them to gain over 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
Recent content has, unsurprisingly, focused on Fortnite’s seventh season, which was discontinued on June 8. Along with their YouTube presence, the twins have amassed a significant number of Twitch subscribers, often streaming FNCS qualifiers and other tournaments.
However, on June 13, the couple were brutally banned from the streaming platform.

The reason for their ban is unclear at the time of this article’s publication, with the twins tweeting to question the ban and express their confusion.
“Did I just get banned from Twitch?” they or they tweeted. “I have no idea why we have 0 strikes, literally nothing to my knowledge? About to f ** king cry brother.
I don’t know why we have 0 warnings, literally nothing done to my knowledge? about to cry brother

Bans on Twitch usually happen when a streamer breaks Twitch’s rules regarding streaming, but bans are known to happen by accident in the past or due to mass reports of trolls.
Twitch is often criticized for its lack of transparency about the bans, in almost all cases avoiding commenting on the reasons the action was taken. While a tough stance isn’t necessarily unwelcome, it can often mean that content creators don’t initially know the reasons for their ban.
This appears to be the case with x2Twins, who are hoping for a quick resolution to their ban. Since this is their first issue, it will likely be a limited-time ban, perhaps 24 hours or 3 days.
We’ll update this story as more details become clear.
