Full Euro Cup 2021 schedule, match times, live broadcast, streaming in India

The UEFA European Championship, which was due to be held in 2020 but postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, will finally begin on June 12, 2021 (according to Indian standard time). After a full season of European club championships without supporters due to Covid-19, the long-awaited football tournament will welcome supporters inside the stadiums. The Euro Cup 2021 final will take place on July 12, 2021 at 12:30 am IST.

Venue for Euro Cup 2021
For the first time in the tournament’s 60-year history, 11 different cities across Europe will host the 16th European Championship. It is a unique “romantic” event as declared by former UEFA president and French football legend Michel Platini in 2012. The opening match of the tournament will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Rome between Turkey and Italy. Both semi-finals and the final will take place at Wembley Stadium in London.

2021 European Cup format
There are 24 teams participating in Euro Cup 2021, they are divided into six groups, four teams per group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the pre-quarter-finals (round of 16). The remaining 4 teams will be selected on the basis of the best third team from each group. This means that the goal difference in the group stages will play a crucial role in qualifying the third best teams. The round of 16 will be followed by the quarter-finals, the semi-finals and the final.

Opening match of the tournament?
The tournament opener will be played between Italy and Turkey at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on June 12 and will be broadcast live on Sony Sports Network Channels from 12:30 am IST.
