Fortnite x the Matrix collaboration could arrive next month

A Fortnite x The Matrix crossover is rumored to be in the works for the end of next month – presumably to coincide with the release of the upcoming film, The Matrix Resurrections. Apparently, this collaboration will include skins based on Keanu Reeves ‘Neo and Carrie-Anne Moss’ Trinity, making their first appearance in a game since 2005’s The Matrix Online.
Fortnite certainly hasn’t run out of major crossovers this year. Naruto’s long-standing big collaboration has finally happened and is underway right now, with League of Legends’ Jinx also appearing in the game – as part of a tie-in to the Arcane Netflix show – and the Ghostbusters crossover. is back right now thanks to the release of Ghostbusters Afterlife.
Even the bearded Keanu Reeves has appeared in Fortnite before, with the big John Wick event taking place in 2019. Now it looks like, if a new report is correct, Keanu Reeves’ other iconic character is coming to the battle royale. from Epic – and no, we’re not talking about Ted Theodore Logan.
According to popular Fortnite leaker HypeX, a collaboration featuring Matrix characters Neo and Trinity is “slated for the second half of December.” Considering that Matrix Resurrections is due out on December 24, it seems likely that this will be a tie-in to this. It’s also possible that there are both classic and current outfits for Neo and Trinity, much like with the Resident Evil collaboration, although we’ll have to wait and see anyway.

Please keep in mind that this is not yet confirmed. If the Matrix crossover does happen, however, it could well be part of Chapter 3 of Season 1 – which many leakers are convinced will happen after the current season ends early next month.
