Fortnite November 2 patch adds new exotic weapon
The Fortnite November 2 patch is now available on all platforms, and while this is only a small fix, it adds two new weapons to the game, one of which can be found in abundance and one another which will be much rarer and cost you a few. gold bars if you want to wear it yourself. Here is what’s new in Fortnite following the last patch.
Fortnite patch notes for November 2
With the latest patch, Fortnite isn’t just hosting a new weapon without a vault; it also gets a whole new cooler version with a fun twist. The grappler is back, and it can now be found as loot in chests and in Supply Drops. If you’re a Fortnite vet, you’ll remember that the Grappler lets you fire a piston-shaped projectile on a string that quickly pulls you forward.
This is useful for getting out of the storm a little faster or for pouncing on an enemy with unconventional speed. It’ll take an inventory slot, but for many it’s well worth it for the Batman-type hijinx that can ensue.
For players who want to take their grappling technique a step further, an exotic variation never seen before, the Ice Grapple, is now available. Like other Exotics, it can be purchased from an NPC. This time it’s Fabio Sparklemane, the talented cereal mascot / unicorn hanging out at Apres Ski southwest of Misty Meadows.
The Icy Grappler takes the Grappler’s auto-launch mechanism and adds an icy touch at the end of the maneuver. When you land after using it, your feet will turn into blocks of ice, much like we’ve seen in previous Winterfests, allowing you to skate for several yards. This push will not only give you a little more distance per push with the Ice Grapple, but it should also make you a harder target to hit if someone is following your movement.
Both versions of the Grappler are now available in standard playlists, but note that they won’t appear in competitive playlists, which is to be expected.
