Fortnite lightsabers are coming back soon, leak says

According to famous Fortnite leaker Shiina, Epic will be sheltering a fan-favorite weapon, Star Wars lightsabers. Shiina confidently shared the news, stating that Epic will be re-releasing lightsabers tomorrow, May 3, 2022.

The details in this leak line up with the last time Epic removed lightsabers from Fortnite. Before that, the last time players were able to use lightsabers was May 2-5, 2020, during Chapter 2 Season 2 to celebrate Star Wars Day. The patch expected tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. looks set to bring lightsabers back just in time for the popular fandom holiday.
Fortnite lightsabers come in four different variations: Rey’s (blue), Kylo Ren’s (red), Luke Skywalkers (green), and Mace Windu’s (purple) lightsabers. Even though the four weapons look different, they all have the same abilities that let you block bullets and stats.
Lightsabers were first introduced to Fortnite during a live event called “Live At Risky Reels Event” during Chapter 2 Season 1 on December 13, 2019. This live event was intended to help promote the upcoming Star Wars movie The Rise of Skywalker, and at the end of the event, players could vote for which lightsabers they wanted in the game.
