Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 map concept perfectly reinvents the outcome of the ongoing Cube Wars
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is all about cubes. A plethora of purple cubes, a golden cube, and a blue cube are present on the island, and the connection between them remains a mystery to many players.
It should be noted that the Golden Cube constantly travels through the map and purple “Awakening†cubes. On the other hand, the Blue Cube has not yet moved.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 could be called “Stuck In-Between”
According to the concept, the Cube Wars in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, will ultimately lead to an ultimate showdown between Kevin the Cube, Queen Cube, and Blevin. The consequences of this battle will be so dire that the Nexians, a new community, will take control of the island in Chapter 2 of Season 9.
The Nexians are believed to be residents of the In-Between Dimension that players have visited in past events. They are far too strong for the Imagined Order, as the War of the Cube severely weakened Dr. Slone.
Due to the arrival of Nexians, the map in Chapter 2 of Season 9 will undergo many unexpected changes.
Map changes in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9
The “Stuck-In Between†concept for the upcoming season contains four new POIs. Interestingly, each POI has its own story:
- Marsh– The Nexians have taken over Slurpy Swamps to study the Slurp deposits. The area is guarded and players can get a Mythic Heavy Assault Rifle by defeating a boss here.
- The laboratory– A new POI which will replace the Coral Castle. Here the Nexians will search for all items and weapons in Fortnite.
- The docks-The Nexians use this POI to move around. A boss drops the Mythic Loaded Shotgun here.
- Radical flaw– This flaw will replace the Aftermath in the center of the Fortnite map. Jumping inside will help players navigate to other areas of the map with ease.
Nexus Links will act as a new transport mechanic on the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9 map. They will lead to Radical Rift and bring new POIs throughout the season.
New weapons in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 9
The concept for Chapter 2 of Season 9 claims that the IO is not strong enough to face the Nexians. This will also bring some changes to the loot pool as loopers will take over the new Nexian tech.
Surprisingly, the creator didn’t include the shotgun in the loot pool. However, there are a plethora of other weapons, such as the Charge Shotgun and Lever Action Shotgun.
