The Boston College Eagles are 1-3 against the Florida State Seminoles since November 2016, but they will have a chance to close the gap a bit on Saturday. British Columbia and FSU will face off in a battle against the ACC at noon ET at Alumni Stadium. Both teams enter the match strengthened by victories in their previous matches.

The Eagles managed to secure a solid victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last week, winning 41-30. Quarterback Phil Jurkovec became a supernova for BC as he made two touchdowns and 310 yards on 20 attempts in addition to rushing for three touchdowns and 71 yards.

Meanwhile, things were close when FSU and the Miami Hurricanes (FL) faced off last week, but FSU ultimately edged out the opposition 31-28. It was another big night for Seminoles quarterback Jordan Travis, who racked up 274 passing yards in addition to rushing for two touchdowns and 62 yards. The FSU’s victory came on a one-yard run from Travis with just 0:30 left in the fourth quarter, followed by a courageous two-point conversion.

The special teams collected 11 points for FSU. K Ryan Fitzgerald delivered a perfect 3v3 game.

This next clash is expected to be close, with British Columbia just a 1.5 point favorite. They’ve been consistent cash generators against the spread when favored (4-0), so they could be worth a quick bet.

BC is now 6-4 while FSU is at a 4-6 mirror image. Some defensive stats to watch out for: The Eagles are 168th in worst rushing yards allowed per game, averaging 176. The Seminoles have had their own struggles as they enter the competition with the nation’s 229th allowed pass touchdowns, after allowing 22 this season. It’s possible that one of those Achilles’ heels will end up tripping the losing team.
